It’s been said that a practitioner can only take a client as far as they themselves have traveled, and I can honestly say I’ve walked a fair mile in this life. Travail and many trials blessed me with a deep well of compassion and the understanding that the ubiquity of human pain and loss is evidence that none of us are truly strangers to one another.

Disfiguring injuries, multiple surgeries and broken bones? Check. Eleven years of PTSD, three near-death experiences and years of childhood trauma to unpack? Been there and got the t-shirt.

In my search for Truth, I immersed myself in numerous wisdom traditions including Taoism, Vedic Science, Hinduism, Kriya Yoga, Tibetan Buddhism, the lineage and teachings of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati and, more recently, Orthodox Christianity.

I’ve taught yoga to incarcerated men, led over thousand groups in dual-diagnosis facilities and residential crises centers, and worked with a world-class medical intuitive and Ayurvedic medicine practitioner in a successful private practice.

Formal education includes a stint in Chinese Medical School, a bachelor of science in psychology, and a master’s in counseling psychology from Bastyr Naturopathic University. More on my traditional education and experience can be found here.

My earnest spiritual education began in 2010 when I entered a rigorous apprenticeship with an ascetic, master teacher who lived a life of extreme self-discipline and renunciation. She showed me the inherent insubstantiality of the ego, revealed the irrational programming of my shadow, and guided me through a fiery crucible of intense subconscious purification.
